Wild West Roadshow
Known to many-a campsite ghost, railyard boss, and barroom maiden, Jay McKinney is a road bound wanderer who presents his Wild West Roadshow, featuring the timeless songbook of American Folk, Country, Blues, and Bluegrass among his original compositions. His music evokes UFOs flying above a red rock canyon roadhouse deep in the Great Basin desert, or the fluttering northern lights amidst the call of loons in the old growth forest night.
Born deep in the great north woods of Minnesota, Jay was taught to sing and play by a silver-eyed wolf on a winter night under a full moon on Knife Lake (while drinking an ice cold root beer). He spends his time driving out to concert halls, parks, campsite stages, bars, and theaters to sing his songs and share his story.
